Dear Kim & Justin, I would be remised if I didn’t write to thank you for all your help during my stay at Ray’s Camp. Kim your concern and medical assistance was professional; and reassuring at the time. Upon returning home I visited a local hospital and was told the treatment I received on the wound saved me from a very serious complication. The finger has healed completely but there is still some tender areas and numbness. Justin, as this was my first experience at your camp I would like to comment that I have been to other fishing camps in the past, some bigger with full service including guides, I feel your camp was as good or better than those big and fancy places. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and your equipment was well suited fore the style of fishing we were doing and well maintained. you and your staff made us all feel welcomed and at home. I wish you and your family will have a good year and I am looking forward to seeing you both next summer. Thank you again for making what could have been a very bad trip into a very good one. Sincerely, Bob Thomas Canada Walleye FishingRead more >
Kim and Justin; Just wanted to let you know what a great time Jackie and I had. Fishing was fantastic and the accommodations were second to none. Appreciate you taking the time to check in on us and make sure everything was going well. Not sure when yet but we will defiantly be back and will recommend you to all our fishin buddies. Have a great rest of the season. Jim Pitzer and Jackie Dehaven. Canada Walleye FishingRead more >
Kim & Justin, Well unfortunately for me it’s back to work and fortunately for Tyler it’s back to his beloved girlfriend and enjoying the next few months of freedom before he starts school. I just wanted to take the time to thank both of you for making our trip one to remember. Justin, You have no Idea how much Tyler and I appreciate you showing us around the lake and sparing some MUCH needed tackle. Kim, thank you so much for taking care of Tyler when he was “feeling under the weather” and making us feel at home. I’m so glad that we were fortunate enough to meet both of you and your kids and spend some much needed quality time at the camp. I’m sure Tyler and I will be back soon for round two. Hopefully next time we can drag some of our friends and family (who don’t believe just how good the fishing is) with us to experience the little piece of heaven that you call Rays camp. I hope all is well and your summer goes off without a hitch! P.s. – Tell Paul, Bill and Martha We said hi. P.s.s. – Can you please send the pictures of Tyler to me at this address. Thanks!Read more >
Justin & Kim- Just want to say “Thank you” for a great trip. I can’t stop talking about it! Everything was AWESOME… Plus my son had a great time with your kids and catch some fish (That made him feel like one of the boys) Can’t wait to come up next year, in 2011. Plus to go Bear hunting. When I get some time, I will make you a care package for your family. Well just thought I would drop a line and say, Justin you were right. The trip was GREAT………… Thanks for all the great hospitality, you guys run a great camp…. Curt M. SebulskyRead more >
Kimberly and Justin,
I just wanted to let you know what I wonderful time my father Tom and I had at our first visit to your camp last week.
Please thank Paul, Bill and Natalie for the assistance and tips they provided during the week.
We are sorry that we did not get to meet you, but hope everything went well with enrolling your two children in school.
I have been going to camps and semi-remote camps for over twenty years and your property rates the highest by far. The barge ride in , the set up of the pantry, the organization of the camp, the central shower, to the houseboat all add to the uniqueness of your camp.
We stayed on the house boat but chose to stay docked at the camp. It was great to be five feet away from your fishing boat when unloading, yet close to the cleaning hut, pantry and other fisherman and woman so that you could swap tips and stories. I would recommend this option to any groups that are new to the camp.
Despite a couple of rough days of weather I was able to catch 65 fish. Now that I have started to pick-up the patterns of the lake I am sure that this total will increase in future years. There are not many lakes where you can catch Walleye in full sun at 12 noon in 8 – 10 feet of water (with no weeds)!
Thanks again – I will be in contact next winter to make my booking for next year.

Just wanted to let you two know that Douglas and I had spent some quality time together and the best fishing experience in years. Thank you both for all the help you had given us and to give us the relaxed feeling of being home. We both enjoyed our stay at your camp and look forwards to seeing you both and the kids next year. As you can see from the pic Doug was on top of the world. I can not commit to a date at this point as of yet but will touch base with you over the winter for next years booking. Looks like there will four to six people coming. Say hello to Paul for me, and till a couple of cold ones back. Stay safe and healthy guy`s.

I’VE BEEN GOING TO RAY’S CAMPS FOR 20 + YEARS. THE FISHING HAS ALWAYS BEEN GREAT AND SEEMS TO BE GETTING BETTER EVERY YEAR. THE ACCOMMODATIONS ARE SOME OF THE BEST AND THE PANTRY IS ALWAYS FULL OF ANYTHING YOU WOULD WANT FOR YOUR STAY AT RAY’S. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND RAY’S CAMP TO ANYONE WANTING A TRULY REWARDING FISHING EXPERIENCE ON A CANADIAN LAKE.
Just wanted to say thanks again for a great time. We will be sending you more picture as I get them downloaded. However I did want to send you this one first, the accommodations were very nice but we thought the sleeping quarter were a bit cramped.
-Matt (This is obviously a joke)
Thought I would send another picture your way for your amusement. This is a photo of the elusive Ramsey Lake monster that almost ate my friend. We estimated it at 13 feet long and about 736 pounds, it has the ability to jump multiple feet out of the water and is known for attacking redheaded fishermen. Be warned !!!
